Platform

I am the candidate who listens. Yes, I have a platform, and that platform is you. I stand for many of the same things as my opponents:

  • Affordable housing
  • Creating Jobs
  • Education
  • transportation alternatives
  • Quality of Life
  • Safety

But instead of dictating policy from above, I want to build coalitions and networks among the existing advocates. I want to listen to you and take on the issues that you care about.

I think the best ideas should win. So let’s look at what’s out there, look at the ideas of all the candidates, and build a citizen-generated hybrid platform.

I will be posting platform issues as they are raised during my campaign process. Just check out the “Platform Items” category for a list of blog posts about the platform as it evolves. And then comment on them.

The most important part of my platform is increasing access of the public to the decision-making process. So we’re building a community space at dailygotham.com where you can help build my platform. We all want to solve the problems of affordable housing, decent education, public safety and increasing quality of life. How do you think we should do it?

Check back soon and we’ll have a link to the community space and continue the discussion.
